The part-time RN program at Mercyhurst North East recently held its graduation. Fifteen students from North East, Corry and other communities throughout Erie, Crawford and Venango counties were included. The three-year, part-time program allows students to work toward attaining their RN degree while working part-time or full-time positions and raising a family.
As registered nurses, the graduates will transition into new roles in the emergency department, infusion, home health, stroke and intensive care units at UPMC Hamot, Saint Vincent, Allegheny Health Network and other area health care facilities. Many of the graduates are also planning to pursue their BSN or master’s degree in nursing as well.
The graduates include: Morgan Barrett of Corry, Shannon Butts of Erie; Tonya Chadwell-Orsini of Erie; Kayla Cooney of Erie; Kyle Donovan of Oil City; Allison Duda of North East; Paula Dunmire of Erie; Lorraine Dylewski of Titusville; Kristina Larsen of Erie; Mikaela Miller of Meadville; Hannah Northup of Conneautville; Amber Oakes of Erie; Kyla Pieper of Waterford; Whitney Reigel of McKean and Sierra Schoullis of Erie.
Several students also were recognized for outstanding achievement.

MNE wishes these graduates well as they enter their new roles and continue the legacy of mercy started by the Sisters of Mercy 172 years ago.
