Monday, April 15, 2019 - 11:30am

Ray Sobina’s Introduction to Corrections classes at Mercyhurst North East toured the Erie County Prison April 10-11 as part of their studies.

The class met Warden Kevin Sutter and then toured the facilities with Captain Mitchell Carmen.

“The students were able to see firsthand the inner workings of a third-generation county correctional facility,” said Sobina, who is an assistant professor of criminal justice/sociology. “The field experience was well received by the students and will assist them in career discernment in the field of criminal justice.”
