Biography: Adam has been working at Mercyhurst North East since May of 2013.  He is a graduate of Mercyhurst University receiving both a bachelor’s degree in business in 2008 and a master’s degree in organizational leadership in 2011.  Originally from Cleveland, Oh., Adam enjoys spending time with family and friends and maintaining an active lifestyle. He's a passionate fan of Cleveland sports teams!

Biography: Kathy Hill has been working at Mercyhurst North East since October of 2006. She is a graduate of Westminster College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. A native of Wattsburg, Pa., Kathy is the proud aunt to her sister’s triplets, and enjoys cooking, kayaking and hanging out with friends.

Biography: Amanda is a previous Admissions Counselor of Mercyhurst North East. She was with MNE from March 2014 through November 2014. She re-joined the team in August of 2015. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University. As a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends and her dog Henry! She also enjoys working out, the sun, and is a huge Cleveland Browns Fan!!

Responsibilities: Processes application information and correspondents with prospective students.
Biography: Denise has been working at Mercyhurst North East since August of 2004. She is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in management. A native of Erie, Denise manages the application information and communication functions, such as sending accept letters and confirmation packets. When not traveling the country, Denise enjoys spending time with her two dogs and golfing.

Jonathan also works with prospective students interested in playing on a men's athletic team at Mercyhurst North East.
 
Biography: Jon has been working at Mercyurst North East since November 2016. He studied psychology at Edinboro University and special education at Mount St. Mary’s University.  Jon began his professional career in the Washington DC area, teaching in a private school for students with autism.  Since returning to Erie County he has taught 5th grade and also worked as a supports coordinator for the Pennsylvania Adult Autism Waiver. Jon and his fiancé Mara have two young sons that keep them very busy.  When not working or spending time with his family, Jon enjoys reading science/fantasy fiction novels, watching and playing sports, grilling in the back yard, playing poker, and is currently learning to play violin.

Biography: Melissa has been working at Mercyhurst North East since May 2016. She is a graduate of D’Youville college with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Studies and a master’s degree from SUNY Buffalo State in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. As a native of Jamestown NY, she enjoys year round outdoor activities. You can find Melissa cooking, from both new and traditional recipes, for family and friends  when she is not at work.
 

 

 

 

Shaqueline Oberdoerster

Shaqueline also works with students transferring from other colleges, universities, or trade schools interested in the following programs: biology, health studies, medical laboratory technician, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant, respiratory therapist, health care management, business, criminal justice, culinary, hospitality management, liberal arts and computer systems support.

Biography: Shaqueline has been working at MNE since February 2017. Formerly a 4th grade teacher in Chicago, she moved to Erie last fall when her husband enrolled at LECOM. Shaqueline is originally from the Detroit area. She started college in 2005 as a journalism and political science major at New York University and studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. She later attended several other schools before earning her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to obtain a Master of Education degree in urban teaching from National Louis University in Chicago. She says that during her college journey, she has been nearly every type of student: traditional first-year, transfer, international, community college, graduate school and state college! In her spare time, she likes to cook with her husband and go hiking, and she dreams about owning a puppy.
