Bus Schedule
Mercyhurst North East students can ride Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority buses to the MNE campus for free, thanks to an agreement formed between the college and EMTA in the fall of 2007.
Four runs between Erie and North East are made each weekday, and the service is provided 40 weeks out of the year, including during the 10-week summer session. Perhaps the biggest bonus is that students can use the entire EMTA system for free anywhere they go during the service period, including on weekends. For example, MNE students can take the bus from downtown Erie to the Millcreek Mall for free, as long as they present their student ID cards.
In the winter of 2007, the service was expanded to include an earlier route to campus, and additional stops at locations around the community of North East, and at the Wal-Mart in Harborcreek.
