Mercyhurst offers up to $10,000 Dean’s Achievement Scholarships to students at regional campuses

Students at Mercyhurst North East, Mercyhurst West or the Mercyhurst Corry Center are now eligible to receive up to $10,000 in scholarship money to transfer to the Mercyhurst Erie campus to complete their bachelor’s degree.
The Dean’s Achievement Scholarships are available to both traditional and adult students at Mercyhurst’s regional campuses, and the amounts awarded are based on the student’s academic performance.
Traditional students who earn an associate degree from one of the regional campuses will receive $7,000 for a GPA of 2.5-2.74; $8,000 for a GPA of 2.75-2.99; $9,000 for a GPA of 3.0-3.49; or $10,000 for a GPA of 3.5-4.0.
Traditional students at one of the regional campuses who have earned less than 60 credits and have not yet completed their degree are eligible to receive $6,000 in scholarship money. Adult students with a degree from one of the branch campuses that enroll full-time at the Erie campus are eligible to receive a $2,200 scholarship in addition to discounted tuition rates.
“This grant will help both current and former MNE, West and Corry students who wish to continue their education in Erie by making the four-year degree much more affordable,” said Dr. Michael Lyden, vice president of enrollment. “We have traditionally offered a lower tuition rate at our regional campuses and this grant will help to ‘even out’ the students’ total educational expense when they transfer to Mercyhurst Erie.”
Students may also be eligible for need-based financial aid, including federal, state and Mercyhurst grants. For more information on Mercyhurst’s Dean’s Achievement Scholarships, contact Shirley Williams, internal transfer coordinator, at 725-6106.
