How do I apply for Financial Aid?
After January 1st of the year you plan to enroll, you may file your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This government document will help determine how much, if any, state, federal, and/or institutional aid a student may be awarded.

How do I file the FAFSA?
Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov with a copy of your tax returns, w-2 forms and diver’s license.

School Code: 003297
NOTE: There is only one school code for Mercyhurst College, Erie campus and Mercyhurst College, North East campus.

Once I file the FAFSA, how do I know
what I am eligible for?

Once Mercyhurst College receives your information from the FAFSA, a financial aid package will be created for you. Once this package is complete, you will receive the information through the mail.

What type of financial aid is available?
The Student Financial Services Office works to assist students in funding your education by granting financial aid based upon your individual need which is calculated from the FAFSA form. Our office does our best to grant you financial aid that meets your particular need but cannot guarantee to match your need exactly.  We offer:
