Cheerleading
The Cheerleading Program started in the Fall of 2002 and has been a great asset to MNE and the North East Community through the years. In their fifth year of existence, the Mercyhurst North East Cheerleading team will consist of 12 girls during the 2007-08 season. The Cheerleaders perform on the sidelines, doing cheers, jumps, stunts and dances. During the fall, the team practices three times per week to perfect tumbling, stunts, pyramids, jumps and game material. Throughout the year the cheerleaders bring energy and excitement to basketball games. The Saints Cheerleaders are very proud to be a part of the successful athletic program and the nurturing academic environment at Mercyhurst North East. It is an honor and a privilege to represent the college as a Saints Cheerleader. Go Saints!
