Women's Basketball
Ryan Bailey led the 2005-06 Saints to the best season in the history of the program. After eclipsing last seasons record for wins in a season (18), this years team recorded 22 wins against just 9 losses. The Saints took second place in the region and were awarded a bye in the Region III Tournament. After winning the first playoff game in the history of the program, the Saints won a thrilling overtime game in the title contest, marking the first regional championship for the sport. As a result, the Saints represented the region at the NJCAA National Tournament. For his success, Bailey was named the District 'C' Coach of the Year. Four of Bailey’s players were also awarded with spots on the All-Region team, including the “Player of the Year.” The 2005-06 Saints finished the year 20th in the nation in scoring with 72.3 points per game, while allowing only 60 points per contest, good for 21st in the country. Bailey began his coaching career as an assistant with women’s basketball program at Ohio University-Zanesville. After that, he worked as an assistant with the men’s program, before moving on to coach at Philo high school.
