This two-year associate degree program, one of only 22 in Pennsylvania and the only one in Erie and Crawford counties that is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, prepares students for licensure as a registered professional nurse (RN). Mercyhurst North East offers two options for its RN program: a seven-term, full-time, weekday program, and a 10-term, part-time, evening and weekend program. Registered nurses assist physicians in providing care to patients who are sick, injured, convalescent, and disabled and provide compassionate care and support for the dying and their family. Graduates will be prepared for employment in multiple heath care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices, and home health agencies.
