Culinary & Wine Institute Turn your passion for food into a career with an associate degree or certificate in culinary arts from Mercyhurst North East. MNE’s culinary students don’t just watch demos and study from textbooks. Our students get hands-on training in food production from industry professionals with years of experience. The program covers all areas of food production, including baking and pastry making, hot and cold food preparation, and wine education. This foundation is broadened by the addition of hospitality management and liberal arts courses, which will enable the student to acquire the thinking skills necessary to run a modern, professional kitchen/food service operation. With a full-service industrial kitchen as a classroom, students can foster their skills and then put them to use through a variety of luncheon and dinner series, where students organize, prepare and present meals for the college community.
