Life Experience Credit

Life experience credit, such as prior employment, volunteer work, and credits earned from accredited institutions such as Edison (NJ) and Keystone (PA), will be accepted toward experience learning credit if the experience has produced learning outcomes similar to those approved for regular academic credit at Mercyhurst. Credit may be granted only with the approval of the student's academic advisor, the department director and the academic dean, and in some cases, may require a paper or project approved by the concerned department.

No more than six credit hours can be allowed through life experience credit.

Life experience credit is to be used to meet core requirements only upon the approval of the department director and the Academic Dean.
