Monday, April 2, 2018 - 1:30pm

The campus at Mercyhurst North East recently welcomed four new employees.

Angela Amatangelo Brown joined as an admissions counselor. She earned a B.A. from Mercyhurst University in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management. At LECOM, Brown was the admissions coordinator for the LECOM School of Pharmacy then transitioned to LifeWorks Erie and worked as executive assistant to the CEO. She is from Erie.

Abigail Franc is also a new admissions counselor at MNE. In 2014, she earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Point Park University. Soon after this, Franc attended Edinboro University, obtaining a master’s degree in communications in 2017. Abigail started out in 2015 as a vocal coach at Accurate Performance School of Music, where she discovered her love for education. She became a social media strategist at Epic Web Studios in 2016. After getting married in 2017, Franc and husband Kris Paulson moved to North East.

Jeanette Long is the new Writing Center and Peer Tutoring Coordinator at MNE. She earned her B.A. in English from Mercyhurst University in 2013 and her M.S. in Secondary Education from Mercyhurst in 2015. After briefly jumping ship to get her M.A. in English from Gannon University, Jeanette is back with Mercyhurst and ready to spread the good (and grammatically correct!) word. She is originally from Titusville.

Dan Nickle is assuming the role of laboratory manager in the Biology Department at Mercyhurst North East. Nickle is a native of Dunkirk, New York, where he first developed his love for science. This inspired him to study chemistry at Fredonia State University, where he earned an American Chemical Society certified chemistry degree and a chemistry education degree. He began working in a beverage manufacturing laboratory in 2014, applying his chemistry and microbiology skills.
