The Mercyhurst North East Dance Institute Summer Intensive is a two-week program designed to provide students with an opportunity to improve their skills, broaden their knowledge of the field of dance, gain strength, and explore possible careers in the field.
The core curriculum will include ballet technique, pointe/pre pointe, variations/repertoire, pas de deux, character, modern, and hip-hop/jazz, along with courses in drama and voice.
Classes will be taught by MNE dance program director Gina Illingworth, as well as guest instructors, and will be held on both the Mercyhurst North East campus and in downtown North East.
Students can choose to take the program for two weeks or by the class, and student housing is available.
