WIA and TAA Funding
It’s never too late to change careers. Need proof? Just ask the thousands of adult graduates who chose Mercyhurst North East as the place to switch gears and get prepared for steady employment in a new industry. Our mission has always been to make education and job training accessible and affordable to those who need it most.
Mercyhurst North East welcomes those who are eligible for WIA (Workforce Investment Act) or TAA (Trade Adjustment Assistance) funding. These federal- and state-funded occupational training programs help the unemployed get the education they need to get a fresh start in a field that offers promising career opportunities. What you need to know:
Have you or your family been affected by the GE layoffs, or have you been referred to the Erie PA CareerLink Office? If you qualify for WIA/TAA assistance, our admissions and financial aid staff will help you enroll in any of our approved programs with as little stress and anxiety as possible. If you’re not eligible for WIA/TAA, or you’re interested in a non-eligible program, ask our staff about other available scholarships and grants that can help bridge the gap and help you -- or members of your family -- pursue a degree here at little to no out-of-pocket expense.
