The business administration program provides students with general training in the basic principles and techniques that are needed to secure an entry-level position in the business sector. Students enrolled in this program are introduced to the fundamentals of economics, accounting, management, and marketing. In addition, some upper-level coursework in human resources and computer applications is provided.The business division also recognizes the importance of basic communication and mathematics, so a significant amount of coursework in the program focuses on the development of these skills. Upon completion of this program, graduates will be prepared for entry-level positions in administration, marketing, manufacturing, and sales. Here's what some of our graduates are doing now:

This associate degree program is designed to be a smooth 2+2 track if you’d like to go on to earn a bachelor’s degree at the Mercyhurst’s Erie campus. Credits should also transfer to other four-year institutions. Admission Requirements

Students are admitted to the business administration program based on our standard admissions requirements, which include a high school diploma, a minimum GPA of 1.75, and either an ACT, SAT or MNE Placement Test score. Official, final transcripts are required prior to the start of classes.

Transferring in from another college? Transfers are welcome in this program, assuming we get a final, official college transcript from each college you have attended. If you still owe another college money, and cannot get a transcript, you will not be permitted to start classes. The mission of the Business Administration Department at Mercyhurst University North East Campus is to provide students with job-relevant skills in the field of business. The Department offers concentrations in: Accounting, Insurance, Management, New Media, and Sport Management. These concentrations provide a variety of options for students to choose their area of interest. Upon completion, students have the job skills necessary for entry-level positions or they may choose to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree.
